Subject: Feature Request – Simplify Date Fields in the Caregiver Application

Dear Product Team,

I would like to submit a feature request regarding the date fields within the caregiver application.

Currently, many compliance items require applicants to enter both a “From” date and a “To” date. For the vast majority of caregiver credentials, certifications, and compliance documents, the only date that matters is the expiration date.

Examples include:

  • Driver’s License
  • Auto Insurance
  • CPR Certification
  • TB Screening (when applicable)
  • CNA Certification (if applicable)
  • Any other credential that simply requires verification that it is current

Requiring applicants to enter both start and end dates creates unnecessary confusion. Many applicants are unsure what the “From” date should be, resulting in questions, incomplete applications, or incorrect information. It also adds unnecessary time to the application process.

From an operational standpoint, agencies primarily monitor expiration dates to ensure caregivers remain compliant. The original issue date or start date is rarely used in day-to-day compliance management or scheduling.

Benefits of changing these fields to a single “Expiration Date” field include:

  • Faster application completion
  • Reduced applicant confusion
  • Fewer support requests
  • Cleaner, more intuitive user experience
  • Improved application completion rates
  • Better alignment with industry workflows and compliance tracking

If there are specific documents where both dates are truly required, those can remain exceptions. However, for most caregiver compliance items, a single Expiration Date field would better reflect how home care agencies manage employee compliance.

This seemingly small change would have a meaningful impact on both applicants and agencies by streamlining the onboarding process while maintaining all necessary compliance information.

Thank you for considering this enhancement. I believe it would improve usability and bring the application more in line with standard practices across the home care industry.
